Dear Gamebike and Web Mountain Bike people,
I wanted to offer some feedback on the Gamebike I recently purchased from webmountainbike.com .
(I bought it from them, instead of from gamebike.com directly, because of their excellent customer feedback
and because I trust Yahoo Shops.)
I found the directions a little confusing. The steering and brake setup was very easy, but the speed sensor was a pill.
After an hour of noodling with it I found that I could get it to work only if I slid the magnet and sensor all the way down to the wheel
hub; I guess it's because the two were then very close together. (The two items were less than 3cm apart before, but didn't work
properly.)
You may wish to make it a little clearer in the manual that pedals=x button. I found that information but it was a bit difficult to understand.
(I should probably note at this point that the whole problem may be that I'm dim. But to continue...)
You may also wish to note that it's really obvious when the front wheel isn't mounted properly on the steering wheel; the slightest bit off and,
like you said, the frame wobbles. I didn't realize it would wobble so much, though; a very slight adjustment fixed it completely.
I went to Best Buy to purchase a game to use with the Gamebike. The only recommended game I could find was Total Immersion Racing,
but that was fine with me since it was all of $5! I also got MX Unleashed, which once I turned the steering sensitivity down was a lot of fun.
Of course after two races I was all over sweating, but that's the point, right?
Anyway, I did want to give you some feedback. My initial impression is that the Gamebike is a LOT of fun, and I can't wait to play with it
some more.
Thanks,
Tara
