Downhill Trail Opens in Grand Junction, Colorado
The nectar in Grand Junction just got a little sweeter with the opening of "Free Lunch," an expert downhill trail just a couple miles from downtown in the Lunch Loop trail system. It is the first purpose-built, downhill-only, mountain bike-only trail built on public lands managed by the BLM. The goods were delivered thanks to a multi-year effort by the Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association (COPMOBA) along with the BLM Grand Junction Field Office, IMBA, Bicycle Colorado and diehard volunteers. Check out the official press release at the BLM website and read the nitty gritty at COPMOBA's site.
